The editor of Markee and its readership of some 65,000 are anxious to learn about recent film or video projects in which you, or your company, have been involved. We invite you — our readers and advertisers — to submit articles, press releases, and photographs for consideration of publication.

 

Readers
For you, your press releases are a valuable and inexpensive means of getting your name and what you do in the faces of a national audience. Be concise, interesting and thorough.
For Markee, your press releases keep us aware of who's out there — long established, and new companies especially — and the projects they're doing. We may want to include your company's projects in a feature article.

 

Advertisers
Although editorial (published press releases, articles about you or your company) cannot be considered advertising, it will complement your ads by keeping your name and accomplishments before the reader, thus establishing your name as a leader in the industry. Printed editorial often inspires inquiries by readers, resulting in leads for contracts. The combination of a good advertising campaign and good editorial can't be beaten.

 

PRESS RELEASES


1) The style of writing should be third person, and should not be written as a self-promotional piece. Company profiles are generally not considered.

 

2) All submissions must use upper and lower case; typing in all caps is unacceptable. Material is accepted via hard copy, fax or e-mail (markee@markeemag.com).

 

3) Press releases must include a company name, complete address, phone number, current date and contact name. We are interested in current news. Press releases received on a regular basis will get more attention than several sent all at once or a recap of several months' accomplishments.

 

4) Press releases received by the 1st of the month will be considered for the following month's issue of the magazine.

Photos:

 

Photographs accompanying press releases may be submitted in black and white or color prints, slides, transparencies, or on a CD or via e-mail. Digital files should be 300dpi, 4x5 inches minimum size, RGB color, and formatted as Photoshop TIFF or jpeg files in Mac format. Note: photographs should depict a working situation. Head shots are generally not considered. E-mail: markee@markeemag.com.


Cover Photo:

 

Markee is always looking for good, interesting, working shots for our covers. All digital photos submitted for cover use consideration must be in the 7-9 megapixel range, 300dpi and 8x10 inches. Lower resolution photos can be considered providing they are very large (i.e. 72dpi at 36 inches by 48 inches). We do also accept prints (8x10), slides and transparencies.

 

Cover photo submissions may be e-mailed to markee@markeemag.com, or mailed to the address below. All submissions must be accompanied by a full caption (who, what, when, where, why) and be identified as a cover submission. See our Editorial Calendar for upcoming feature subjects.
